Dear Senor Barrios (AKA PGN Head Honcho)

Hello, we are a very nice husband and wife with good jobs, good morals, and great family support. We live in a nice house, in a nice neigborhood, with nice neighbors. It has been just the two of us for about 11 years, so we know we like each other and we get along well. We like to think most of the "kinks" have been worked out between us. It's been fun being just the two of us, but now we're ready for the 3rd member of our family to arrive. In fact, we're past ready! We've been very good. We filled out all of the paper work just like you wanted. We scrutinized every sheet. We even re-did several documents several times. We didn't mind all that much because we know how you're particular, and we wanted you to be happy and see that we follow directions well.

We have known our little girl since she was 12 days old. She is now 8 months old. Her name is Gabriella Grace Josefina Tummonds. We love her. We know she was meant to be our daughter. We have gotten to visit her twice in Guatemala City. We enjoyed getting to visit your country. You have a beautiful country. We would love to spend more time there.

We are blessed that Gabriella is being cared for by a wonderful foster family at this time. All of this being said, the adoption of our little girl has been a long and tedious journey thus far. It took us over 4 months to obtain DNA testing! I have prayed for patience, and I feel that I have been taught patience.

Our case has been in your PGN for 9 weeks now. Each day, Gabriella is getting older. It is so hard on us waiting on her to come home. I know with each passing day it will be harder on Gabriella, too. Please, will you consider letting our case out of PGN soon, so we can begin our lives as three-person family????

Sincerely,

L

PS: I know there are a lot of families in the same boat that we are in. Could you please consider speeding up all of the cases in PGN????

What a cute pic in lavendar. I know how you are feeling and I know it does not make it any better by saying this. Hang in their, I was in your shoes a year ago and know your anger, pain and emotion. I am surprised anyone still talks to me I was a crazy lady. We did not bring Sophie home till 9 months, it is coming soon, I know in my heart. Keep praying and let me know if you want to vent. Sometimes venting to strangers is ok. Take care.

Lori,

For some reason today I decided to do a Google search for my daughters name, Gabriella Grace, and the first hit a saw was your blog. I read all your postings and am deeply touched with your story. I applaud you and husband for going through so much to adopt Gabriella Grace. You two are truly amazing people. I pray that she will be home soon and in your arms forever. I look forward to following Gabriella's story.

My 'GG' turned 1 on June 26, 2007. She brings us so much joy and happiness!
