The Tea Party That Wasn't

My mom, Gabriella, and I were supposed to attend "My First Tea Party" at the Marriott with the Lexington Playgroup this afternoon. I found this playgroup online at meetup.com. I am thinking it would be nice to meet some other moms in Lexington who have little ones at home. This event was going to be perfect because I love tea. I drink it every morning. In fact, I feel like the day has not started until I have my cup of tea. I even have my special mug for tea at work that I make first thing when I get to work in the morning. Anyway, I digress . . . We didn't end up attending the tea party today. We were on the way to the tea party when Gabriella began projectile vomiting in the car. The poor baby didn't even know what was happening to her. I felt so sorry for her. I don't know if it was something she ate or what. All I know is that the she, along with the entire back seat had been slimed. Needless to say, we turned around and went home. The poor baby slept on and off the rest of the day. So much for tea today, but I don't think Gabriella cared much, though.

Well, tomorrow is my 1st day back to work after being home with Gabriella for 2 months. I will be working part-time for 2 months. My mom will be watching Gabriella. We'll see how it goes. I have mixed feelings right now. I'll tell ya how it goes.

Poor Gabriella!!! Good luck tomorrow - I know from experience how hard it is initially to go back to work. But, after you find your groove you will be just fine - and so will she! Maybe your mom can bring her to meet you for lunch sometimes to ease you back in to the new schedule. Love, Julie
