Well, Gabriella and I have been back in the good ole U.S. for about one week. It's nice to be "home". We now have two homes, but the one here feels a little more "homey". I guess because I can speak the language.
We've been home long enough for Gabriella to get to spend 4 days with her grandparents in Ohio and for me to get a ridiculously bad hair coloring job from a place in Lexington called, "The Salon at Pinnacle". If you live in the area, DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU WANT TO LOOK GOOD, and don't think it won't happen to you.
To make it worse, not only did I get a bad dye job, but they argued with me when I went back to try to get it fixed even though the stylist said the day she did it to make another appointment and she would fix it! I went in for my fix-it appointment and the stylist comes up and says, "you know if I do anything but add a few more highlighting chunks, I'll have to charge you extra." WHAT???!!!?!!
After that statement, the stylist could tell by my face, I guess that I was upset and from that point on she coward behing the counter rolling her eyes and hiding. I had to talk to the manager, who argued with me that the stylist was giving me what she thought I wanted. I don't care, if it was what she thought I wanted, I hate it and it was a hideous job that no one should have to pay $135.00 for!
I'll spare the details and end my rant, just know that it would never benefit anyone to go to this salon if they want to avoid drama and have pretty hair. This salon does not value it's customer and who wants to risk it? I am a nice person and it really upsets me when people are not nice back and they make me have to act like a person I wouldn't like. END RANT

Oooooh... I had a bad experience at Je Ani Salon in Lexington. I waited over 2 hours for artificial nails. Then the girl said my nails looked nice so I didn't need them and was about to send me out the door b/c she didn't feel good. I demanded a manicure. Ugh!! I miss you and have been waiting anxiously for new posts! Let me know next time you come to the states and maybe we can meet up! Take care and say hi to the family. Julie Ward
