Well, I'm a little late in posting, but we found out on Monday that Gabriella's bio mom signed off for the 4Th and final time this past Friday. We are so relieved and happy to have this step out of the way. I was a little nervous all day on Monday until we heard that it was finished.
I often wonder about Gabriella's biological mother. I wonder what her thoughts are. I know she's a very brave and thoughtful woman. She is from Honduras. Her whole family is in Honduras. Adoption is not possible in Honduras at this time (my husband and I looked into it extensively). My theory is that she came to Guatemala when she found out she was pregnant because she knew that she had to make an adoption plan. She wanted to ensure that Gabriella had a good life and could be adopted my a family who love her. Our adoption process has taken over 10 months so far. This means her bio mom has had to remain in Guatemala all this time in order to be available at various times during the process. Can you imagine?! What a beautiful, wonderful, selfless gift she has given us! It will be one of my primary goals to tell Gabriella, throughout her life, just how much her "1st mom" must have loved her to sacrifice so much.

A HUGE congrats is in order! And, what a wonderful mom you are to help Gabriella know that everyone in her life has loved her. I can't wait to meet her. Best wishes and enjoy every moment!!!!! I am so happy for you.

She is so beautiful! I can't wait to meet her. I'm so glad things are going well. I love being able to read and find out how you're doing without having to bother you all the time. Every time there's something new I forward it to Erin and Sue. We're all so happy for you, and looking forward to meeting Gabriella. Yeah!
