Well, I'm home sick today. I think something is going around at work. I have the sore throat and headache thing going on. I'm staying home more as a preventive so my symptoms won't worsen. Yesterday was just a yucky day in general. I haven't heard anything from my agency about whether we're in PGN, yet. We were given pre-approval from the US Embassy while we were visiting Gabriella on January 18th. We were told that we would probably be in PGN by the end of the week last week. My agency isn't always the best about keeping us updated. Sometimes, I feel like maybe I'm just a little too impatient and needy, but I need to know. When my agency tells me they're going to call at the end of the week about PGN, they need to call me even if there is no news! Because of this process, sometimes I can't decide if I'm on the verge of depression, or not.
To make my general feeling of lousiness worse, yesterday, Barbaro, the horse who won the Kentucky Derby last spring, was euthanized. We live in Kentucky and horse racing is a big deal. For those of you who know me and know what a big animal lover I am, this news made me sad. I'll just say it was a contributing factor to the overall yucky Monday that was yesterday.
Luckily, today is a new day, and I'm already feeling better. Here's a picture of my two babies who are enjoying the fact that I am home today.
