We have been back in Hannover, Germany for one week. We got here last Thursday. It was a looong trip. We boarded the plane on Wednesday at 1930 and arrived in Hannover on Thursday at 1530 (0930 US time). We took a plane and a train to get home to Hannover. We were exhausted. It is definitely more difficult to fly to Europe than to fly from Europe to the United States. Gabriella got back on her schedule by Sunday. Gabriella is a pretty good traveler. For an almost 2 yr old, she is a great traveler. We only had a few meltdowns. However, there was one point when I was looking to Heaven for strength and I guess I received it because we made it!!! We are racking up the frequent flier miles!
Dave had a 4 day weekend this past weekend due to the celebration of the 1st of May. I love the German holidays!!!! He also has next Monday off work. I'm not sure what the holiday is, but I know it's a religious holiday which I will find out more about.
On Sunday, we went to the
Herrenhauser Gardens which were beautiful and located very close to us. Gabriella loved being able to walk around uninhibited by stroller or hand-holding by mommy or daddy.
This week we have just been getting re-acclimated to Hannover. We've gone grocery shopping, bike riding, ice cream eating, dog walking, and playground playing.
This weekend we are headed to Munich!
Gabriella and Daddy in the Berggarten at Herrenhauser Gartens
Had to post this (ignore the clothes, I thought we were biking)-Notice the Braces Are Off!!!!
At dinner (Salsalitos) we got these lighted straws in our drinks! GG was entertained the entire meal!
