We woke up early on Saturday morning and decided to take a "Hop on, Hop off" bus tour. We spent the first hour riding around Munich getting a general overview of the city. The busses were double decker, but by the time we got on all the seats on top were taken.
We hopped off at Marienplatz, which is the main center of the city of Munich. The rest of the day, we walked around and looked at sites. We ate a lot. We went to a Beer Garden. Gabriella really enjoyed this.
On Sunday, we took a train to Southern Bavaria to the small town of Fussen. Near Fussen, there are two historic "fairy tale" castles. In particular, we wanted to see Neuschwensein Castle built by King Ludwig II. This castle is the one we all think of when we think of Prince Charming, Cinderella, and Snow white. We took a tour of this castle and spent some time walking around the charming village at the bottom of the castle.
On this day, we rented bikes and were able to take some beautiful pictures of the Alps. Dave has a lot more pictures on his camera, but here are some that I took on my camera.
In no particular order.
