I just wanted everyone to see a couple picture my mom took while we were in Guatemala visiting last month. Also, I got an update from our agency yesterday. Gabriella is 70 cm long and weighs 19 lbs. She's getting big. Her foster mother says that she is saying words!!! She is saying "mama", "papa", and "Tata". I don't know what "tata" means except when referring to breasts and I'll assume she doesn't mean that! Anyway, that made me kind of sad that we aren't there to hear those words, but I'll be sure to ask her foster mother when her first word happened, so at least we'll have it for her baby book someday. I think that means she's highly intelligent since she's saying words at 7 months. If it's not so special, please don't tell me otherwise and burst my bubble.
Our agency says that PGN time frames are now averaging 8-12 weeks. We will have been in 7 weeks tomorrow. We are still hoping and praying for no kick outs (previos). It seems like a very bad thing because it would delay our case, but I know Dave and I would get through it. I am sending prayers up to God and I know he is watching over us. He makes this process bearable. I also have been worrying about Gabriella's foster family and how hard it will be for them when she comes home. Gabriella is their first baby they have fostered. It will be extremely difficult for them when she comes home and I imagine, even though she is still very young, it will be difficult for Gabriella.

You have all the qualities of a sweet and loving mother (and father for Dave)! Everything Gabriella does is special and she is intelligent! Wow - words at 7 months. So good! Keep your chin up. I look at your site daily for updates. I am sure it helps the foster family to know you and see how much you love her.

I have been following your amazing journey since you started your blog in January. It is a wonderful thing that you are doing. Your daughter is beautiful. Rachel loves watching the video you posted awhile back. I know you both will be wonderful, loving parents. She'll be home soon.
