I really don't have much to post today, but I thought I should post any way. This weekend I have been attempting to recover from a nasty cold I got while in Guatemala. I'm assuming I got it on the plane, but who knows. One thing I did today, is I bought a juicer. I've been wanting to try to make some fresh juices ever since returning from our 1st trip to Guatemala. Everyday at the Marriott for breakfast, they have fresh juices of all kinds. I loved them. I bought the juicer home and proceeded to juice papayas, apples, oranges, and lemons. I made a lemonade-type drink and a papaya juice drink that tastes very nearly like the one I had in Guatemala. Dave and I had a great time sticking the various fruits into that juicer and watching it grind them into pulp and juice today.
I also bought a steamer today so we could have steamed rice and veggies with more regularity. I am going to try eating brown rice more often. It's kind of nutty tasting and full of nutrients. I like it better than white rice.
Anyway, that's the extent of my weekend excitement. I got some R & R and I'm feeling better. My nose is still a faucet, but I'm feeling much better. A weekend of just me and my hubby hanging out is the best! It will be great fun to add Gabriella to our lazy weekend agenda when she gets home.

Sorry to hear the cold was bringing ya' down! The same thing happened to me! A faucet with no shut off valve!! Yuk! I bought a juicer too, but I need to dig it out again and dust it off! The only thing that bummed me out was that you buy tons of fruit and it's gone within gulps of making it!! It's yummy though!
I love reading your Blogs, you are very good at this.
I just can't wait to hear the funny stories about gabriella. Working with you I hope to see a lot of pictures, more than I already have.
